Wayne, welcome to the board!

This guy is one of the Ferrari History gurus on ferrarichat.com. - a man of infinite knowledge from whose contributions on that board I have learned much.

Glad to see you're going for a Vintage model.

I hate brown and yellow as well, but am partial to the Series I 330 2+2.
Nothing like those 4 headlights.

Hang out here and you'll be cruising in no time.

Welcome also, Wayne! Good to see you here. I couldn't imagine that you haven't been lurking here for a while, given your interest and knowledge of the older cars.

Can't help you, but can wish you luck in your search. The search isn't as much fun as the owning, but its close!

Wayne,

Welcome!

You may want to contact Francois, through Tom or directly. He has done a number of these cars and knows where they are. The Black/Red 330 America he did is gorgeous!

Good luck in your search.

Hi John, thank you. I've actually been lurking and occasionally posting here since Tom was on the old software, about 2 years ago I think.

Art, thanks! Will do.

I just noticed that we both have the EXACT same join date! September 3, 2002.

Is that weird or what?

John, check out Art S.' join date. I actually joined in July or August of '02 but Tom switched software on September 3 and we all had to rejoin. I remember that the switch eliminated the problem with "Ricky Beverly Hills" and his 30 different personalities!

Thank you to all who have responded here and via email! I've narrowed the search down to:

330 America, concours or near-concours condition, located in the US.

At this point, I'll consider any and all color combinations.

Thanks!

Wayne,

If you can live with a non matching numbers engine and a light blue color scheme, there is a 330 2+2 series 2 being discussed on FChat that looks pretty good (sn 8101). $140K spent on restoration - for sale much cheaper.
