Ferrari Parts
Hi All,
I received a phone call the other day from a Dino Ciaburri. He is currently trying to liquidate a collection of Ferrari parts. I am sad to say these parts used to be owned by Jerry Curtis from Newtown, Connecticut. I've mentioned Jerry several times on this site, and he supplied me with the missing parts to my car that I thought would be impossible to find. Unfortunately, Jerry was diagnosed with cancer last year, and died about July. Knowing he was very sick, but not knowing his family, I found out about his passing in the Fall, and didn't know who to call to send my condolences.
Dino is trying to help Jerry's wife to sell some of his parts, but is not well versed in Ferrari parts. The value of this collection is much in question, but I offered to help him sell some of it by mentioning its availablity to you. He's put an ad in FML, and the big players have already made their offers, but all have been too small to consider. I feel that this is the time to get in and buy that elusive part you may need for your car. He's faxing me an inventory list, and I may even take a ride up there to see what he's found. I do know that when I saw the parts in my previous visits, he has a lot of dusty old parts, but some of them can be pretty valuable to someone in need of a trim piece, or a chrome doo-dad.
If you want to contact Dino, his e-mail is:
dfciaburri@aol.com
and his phone/fax number is:
203-882-9324
Tell him you heard about him through me, and he may help an actual Ferrari owner, as opposed to the business men that have offererd to buy the collection!

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to get the original computer file that created the fax to post to this site to save me the time of scanning, and posting the fax the Dino sent to me. The parts list has a lot of whole body sections, and boxes of misc. parts sorted like "box of turn signal lenses." I plan on making a trip up there in the next couple of weeks, because it's probably easier to look at the parts in person than try to figure it out in the fax. Perhaps we can make a "want list" and I can see if I can find these parts for y'all.
Another request for people who want the fax. Dina asked for you to remember to include your Fax number in your e-mails so he knows where to send them!

Tom, when you go to look at the parts, would you ask about a set of collector pipes (between headers and exhaust) for my PF coupe series II (outside plug engine)?
Condition doesn't matter as I need them to use as a pattern for new ones.
Or if someone can lend me theirs?

Hi Guys,
I am going to stop by to see these parts before the the Hartford Show this Sunday. If there is anything you want me to keep an eye out for, let me know this week. I can photograph it so you can decide if you want it, and you can contact Dino for price and shipping.
Kerry,
I thought PF coupes had 6 into 1 headers? The early GTEs were 6 to 1, but later GTEs, and my 330 America, went to 3 to 2 to 1 on each side. I know Jerry had a set of y pipes that made the 2 to 1 section that I used to copy. Is this the set you need?...re-reading your post, it sounds like you simply need the 1 to 1 pipe that "jogs" to the muffler?

Tom - if you're collecting the wish lists, here's mine. I need the the bladder and pump for the windshield washing system on a queen mother. For all I know, they might the same as those on a 330.
They are the last pieces I am missing and I haven't checked w/ the usual suspects yet; but if you see them . . .
have fun

A wish list? Hmmmm.
I would love to know if you find an electric window switch for the passenger side door of a series 2
Thanks

Tom, you are right about the 6-1 header, so the collector is just a single curved pipe. Brain fade, thinking of the 330 GT ones.
Charlie, if you have the switch but it doesn't work or only sometimes, the problem is just the contacts. It's easy to take apart and clean. See http://www.parrotbyte.com/kbc/ferrari/m ... ndowSwitch for details. BTW, both switches are identical, no right or left sides.

330 America Badge
Tom - as you know, my car goes in for a 2-month restoration this week. It will be back to factory-issue originality when I get done and hoping for big things from Frank on the leather interior work.
I would really, really appreciate that extra 330 America badge you found at Jerry's shop. I've asked Tony Fuiza for six months to part with the badge he's got mistakenly affixed to his regular 330GT and he won't part with it (go figure).
It would be one of those "finishing touches" for my 330 America and you'd have the confidence to know it went to good use instead of in someone's garage as a conversation piece.
Send me a PM or call me with a price.

Hi Guys,
I'm going up to the shop again next weekend. If there is anything you need, let me know! I don't know how much longer all these parts are going to be available, so...

Tom - thanks for the heads up....I continue to need a "330 America" badge to complete my car. I just won an auction for a near-perfect set of 1964 black Texas license plates to replace my current vanity plates (La Vita) for my car so I'm going 100% original on the beast.
On a separate note, let me know when the lenses for the guages will ship to me so I can advise my restoration shop.
