You might call Newco products (in Suppliers list) and see what Neil has.

Jag parts houses might be able to help. Or call Jag junkyards and replate them yourself...

I wouldn't spend a cent with NEWCO- (Bad attitude)

Jaguar junkyards are the best place to look.

Go to ebay and put this item in the search field-good luck.

If you can find a junkyard that hasn't been cleaned out yet, they should cost maybe $5-10 each (my experience from 2 years ago).

I agree with SLM about Newco. Very difficult to deal with. It's all or nothing with him.

Greetings... Has anyone had experience with replating Cheney clamps? I have enough to do my car but they all are a bitty scruffy (sort of like my car). tim

No problem replating scruffy clamps. I did mine in clear cad. Make sure you unscrew the clamp and pull out the band a little before plating. This way the whole band will get plated.

good luck,

For what its worth, there is a set of Cheney Clamps on Ebay right now. But, at $149.00 starting bid, this seems a little steep.

Hope the url works below. Othwise the Ebay Item # is 2262907508

Hi guys.

I'm sorry if this sounds naive, but how do the Cheney clamps differ from much less expensive ones made by Breeze? I bought some of those from mcmaster.com that look identical to those for sale on eBay.

The main difference is, the ones we see every day have a band that is slotted...holes punched in the band to facilitate for the screw threads used to tighten or loosen.

Cheney clamps bands are indented

The judges know the difference.

Ah. I see. Thanks!

(By the way, McMaster-Carr also has very similar "non-perferated" and "lined" versions of the same clamps in stainless steel, but I suppose they wouldn't have "Cheney" stamped on them.)

That's exactly what the difference is... the "Cheney" stamp.
