Wheel Well Liner

Post by DBR330GT »

On my Series 2 330 GT, I noticed it doesnt have the front wheel well liner which only cover the rear portion of the well. This part is listed in the parts manual. When I look back in the well, the inner part of the fender is neatly painted with a thick black paint and there is no rust or exposed metal parts. Is it neccessary to have this part?

Also, some of the thin posts which attach the front fender vent to the fender are broken off, but there are enough good ones so that they still fit well. Is there an easy fix?

Someone is looking for the chrome jack plugs for me, but if he cant find them, any other ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

In regard to the jackhole plugs, look at the second sticky down on the message board. My plugs and original jack are missing but it doesn't bother me enough to spend $200.00 for the plugs and God knows how much for a jack, which I would hesitate to use.

Hi Dan,

The liners, or splash shields will also protect your fenders from rocks kicking up from the tires and denting the sheetmetal.

I asked Algar before and they said they didn't have em. From what I can understand they only sell older Ferrari parts to Buddy. Art have you actually recieved these from Algar? Yale

Thanks guys.

I am getting the fender splash guards from a 330 2+2 parts car (see T Rutlands- they have everything except the engine).

I got the jack plugs from Tom Shaughnessy- thanks Tom.

I've had the car for three weeks and 600 miles- no problems. Took my wife to a party tonite themed Breakfast at Tiffany's in the 330- very period appropriate car- everyone thought it was cool!
