Can anyone identify this hood?

I was told it is from a Ferrari, but I don't think it is. I do think it may be Italian, though, so perhaps someone might recognize it.
There is more info and more pics (15) at:

Thanks for any help, Ron
Please help identify mystery hood
I'll measure my hood this week. If it fits, I'll buy it off of you - a hood scoop would be cool!
In terms of what its for, good luck, I have at least 10 guesses. The number does look like a PF job number. Someone on this board might be able to get you info based on it.

Art S.

I can say for sure it's not for a Series II cabriolet. The hinges and hood prop catch make it look like a part for a pretty early car, though. The hood on a Cal Spyder and SWB had the scoop more recessed into the hood, so it's not for one of those. The 250 Boanos, PF coupes and GTEs of course had no hood scoop - what about a 400SA? Maybe a PF-built low-numbers run of big Alfa or Fiat?
