That car has been like that at least since 98 when Jerry Curtis sold/traded it to "Forza" who was selling it for 17,000 in 1999. The ebay seller didn't do the headlight cut or the engine replacement. Maybe Jerry did. Yale
I remember a thread on here a couple of years ago where someone posted a pic of a GTE with a similar 275 GTB-style headlight treatment, but done much better-- it was really good looking. The rest of the car wasn't butchered, either.

Look at Tom's entry "Interesting GTE" dated 1/21/02. Easy to find with the Quick Keywords Search -feature in bottom of lower left frame (just type in "3597").
Even if not as rough, this car also looks very tail heavy in a side view. This is why Pininfarina originally extended the front fenders having first designed it with PF Coupe/S.2 Cabriolet type nose.
Thanks for the engine info and lead to the other pics.
Yes, it looks better in the front diagonal view of a nice car. The straight-on side view of the Ebay car shows how important the headlight design was to the production cars. The front becomes over-shortened with the cutout headlight treatment, and throws off the balance, giving that tailheavy look.
0 bids so far...a barn find GTE with a V12 that hadn't run in 25 years would have 10 by now. Tom Shaughnessy's not even interested--his name usually hits the bidders list early on these. Maybe he's planning to snipe it at the end.
With the amount of body modifications on this car, it's pretty much useless. Finding glass for this car alone can cost a couple of grand! Shaughnessy has plenty of engineless cars to keep him happy.
i picked up this dogg for a fun hot rod, 5k for a toy is a cheap, in my town no one can tell it's not "correct". better to have one running than rusting
