chinetti paperwork / seeking several owners

Post by andrew »

Hi everyone,

I've been doing some research on the origins of my car and have come across copies of original shipment instructions and invoice numbers (but not the invoices), dated 1966, sent to Luigi Chinetti (Chinetti Motors, Greenwich, CT). The first document lists cars being prepared for Chinetti and the second gives details for the shipment of 3 cars, including the boat name and other information.

Cars other than mine are listed, so if you happen to own one of the cars listed below, contact me and I'll be happy to make you copies of the documents I have and send or email them to you.

Andrew,

Great find! Contact Kerry Chesbro he is a regular on this site and maintains the 330 register.

I wish you had something on 7919.

Hi Andrew,

I would appreciate copies of these documents for the 330 GT Registry. I'll send you a private message with mailing information.

I know the current owners of 8627 and 8639 and will provide email contacts for those owners. I have no current information on the other cars.
Regards, Kerry

The first document I have details some shipping information on three 330GTs that came over together on the same boat in mid-1966. It's pretty remarkable that through Tom's site and with Kerry's help, I've been able to locate all three owners already (one of these cars is mine), in just a few hours.

The other document, by the way, lists several cars to arrive at Chinetti Motors that same year, and lists some shipping information for the 275GTB.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for providing this information to the group! In the almost 6 years I've been doing this, the Internet has become a great resource for Ferrari restoration. One of the reasons I started this website was to seek out more information, but it doesn't work without participation from you guys out there. Thanks to everyone who helps out!
