A nostalgic trip through this gallery brought my eyes to a very familiar red 250 GTE 2+2.  I believe I may have owned that car for a couple of years in the late 1960's and early 1970.  

I have little really to contribute to the history on it (if it indeed was mine) except who I bought it from and who I eventually sold it to.

I will comment that while I owned it as a young man it spent some time in my garage with my little boy clambering on it too.  Looks like not much has changed.

Hi Pat,

According to the GTE registry, a Joseph Durkin owned that car, so perhaps it was a typo?

Andrew still has the car, and I beleive it now resides in Australia!

I'm glad we rekindled some old memories!

Wow!  Small world but I wouldn't want to paint it.
