I am trying to find the numero interno on my 1969 365GT2+2 engine. Is there any body out there that can give me some feedback on where to look?         Many thanks

Hi Bernard,

The Numero Interno is near the engine serial number. Kerry's picture shows his very well. Get a bright light and look on the right side of the engine block under the distributor. Sometimes it's stamped up along the round part of the engine block that mates to the transmission bellhousing.

An interesting note on the Numero Internos, Francois told me that Engines were not stamped with serial numbers until right before they were mated to their particular chassis, except for race engines like the GTOs. GTO engines were dynoed and depending on which made the highest outputs, were stamped with the chassis number for the customer or factory car that Ferrari deemed deserving of the better engines!
