Just about to restore RHD 1965 330 GT 2+2. need advice on repairs to floors as partially rusted, Iwas told they are foam filled ? Also need to locate complete engine or oil pan, distributor and RHD carbs with linkage.

Hi Graham,

The floors on GTEs, and maybe even 330s, had a fiberglass layer between two layers of sheetmetal. I'm sure it was for sound, and heat insulation, but it also trapped water between the layers, rusting out the floors. Not a very good idea! My floors were replaced with a single layer to make it simple. It's your call, but I wouldn't recreate a situation where you'll have to replace the floorpans again!
