246 GT

I am having a lot of difficulty in curing a stalling problem with my 1969 Dino. After three attempts my mechanic has not been able to resolve the problem.  Nor has the dealer resolved the problem.

The cars stalls at traffic lights and hesitates on acceleration from a stop. To restart I must put the pedal to the floor.  Then only after several attempts does it restart.  It does this in hot and cold weather; whether the engine is cold or hot. It runs fine straight out.  It seems to be a flooding problem. And of course, as all Dinos, it hesitates in cornering.

I have heard that there are two types of fuel pumps for Dinos.  This is a Series L. The jets of the Holly's were cleaned and adjusted by the dealer. The other mechanic put a fuel pressure regulator in the the fuel line.

What could this possibly be?

Thank you for any input.

Don

needle and seat sticking?

float level set incorrect?

vacume leak of some kind?

internal carb problem worn throttle shafts or debris in passage way?

can you physically look down each throat and see and gas dripping at iddle?

if these items have all been checked I have some other ideas
