Sacrificial Anodes

Post by wwwboard »

Does anyone have a source for sacrificial anodes to place in the radiator &/or surge tank to inhibit corrosion of alloy engines?  In particular, the anode should be made of magnesium to protect both aluminum and the lead alloy of solder in the radiator. Believe me, I've tried on line, yellow pages, etc.  FCA technical articles and Ferrari Market Letter Tech Tips talk of these anodes, but no current source is mentioned. Thank you!

Alfa Ricambi in Glendale Ca. used to sale these anodes for my Alfa. I wonder if they could be used on Ferraris too.Give them a call and see what they say. B

about 8 years ago I got a set from steve magnusson 2215 spotswood place boulder colorado 80304.  instructions call for buying Interzincs' "Radiator Saver" <J.C. Whitney PN 74-7496 and swapping the parts. But, that was 8 years ago. Good Luck.
