I emailed the seller and he said "The engine was purchased to replace the smaller 240.   The new ferrari engine has only 5500 miles (about) and is over 300HP.  The serial number for the car is:  62256GTE #2827.  The engine number is: #6815"

Hello all GTE spotters!

As per the 250GTE resgistry, and FML:
#2728 probably lost it's engine in the late 70s in Belgium
A Peter Curtis in CT did the restoration sometime in the 90s and installed a 330 engine out of a 330GT 2+2
The engine is in Chassis number 3593 a Series II GTE and was last spotted in CA.

According to Kerry's 330 Registry, #6815's chassis was at Jerry Curtis' shop...I wonder if the info on #2728 has a typo, and it was actually Jerry Curtis who did the restoration?! I'll have to make some calls on Monday to check!
