That chassis is perfect for SWB or GTO conversion. It'll just need another $200,000 to make it so!
There's a note in the GTE registry that this car was last seen in California in '84. If parts could talk...

With all the replicas being made you would be able to find a body for it ... but the mechanical components and all the necessary little things make this chassis doomed.
Now just scrape metal ... , not worth the $100 + transportation, etc.

This WAS a 1962 250 GTE 2+2 (Series 2) Last reported intact in 1987, and living in Lakewood CO. In 1979, it was Maroon and Tan, and sold for $8500. In 1984, it was reported as Maroon and Brown . . . with 75K on the OD.

Actually I disagree. I would buy this just to preserve it. In 10 years time we will all be saying 'I remember when I could have bought a 250GT for $100....' In fact I'll buy it now if someone in the States will join me as a partner in this and help with the storage, check the papers are correct etc.
