What a wonderful description of your trip!  It must have been something to see for the first time your uncle and cousins.

I'm surprised that you had so much difficulty in picking out something for the calligrapher to write for you.

Imagine what "Forza Ferrari!" would look like in your living room!

Maybe next time!

I second that.  I enjoyed reading about your trip.  My girlfriend is visiting relatives in China right now but, unfortunately, I was unable to free myself up to go with her.  Maybe next time.

As for "Forza Ferrari" in Chinese calligraphy, "Ferrari" has to be written using characters that sound out the word, but have a different meaning.  It just wouldn't work.  Too bad.

Chinese butcher the the english language almost as badly as the Americans so with Chinese!

Ferrari ends up sounding like FAHraEEE when they find characters that match the phonetics!

Tom

BTW, not a single Ferrari spotted in Beijing. The only sports car was a C-4 Vette!
