Superb job Tom! The chronicle of the rebuilding of your car has been an inspiration to hundreds, if not thousands, of Ferrari enthusiasts.........now the encore is...:>) keep up the good work. I cannot wait for my "clown lips" to meet your new grill (and the rest of the car too!)

No, Tom just thinks that it is done. After a number of years working on my 330 GT, I finally declared it done after putting on the last original part that had never been on the car during my ownership (I bought it in boxes).
I still have a number of projects like polishing the stainless steel trim around the side windows. It's a never ending succession of tasks owning an older Ferrari! If something doesn't break, you are always finding the correct part to replace something that has been screwed up in the past. I just keep a box of 'tasks' for each car. Whenever I feel like it, I can rummage through the appropriate box and find something that will occupy my time for a few hours.

You are spot on Kerry.A good restoration is never over. Well Tom, I have to change my accolade to small print ( "congratulations!" ) to acknowledge what is just a milestone on a never ending journey. Kerry, I was remiss in not including your body of work too. Thank you both for being GREAT resources.

Thanks guys, but the work is never done. After the show in Scarsdale, I'm considering having the grille clear anodized. I also have to fix an axle seal on the opposite side to the last one, not to mention figuring out why my steering box is leaking....The list will continue to grow!

Just wanted to add my congrats to you Tom. Such an amazing achievement what you have done, and a real insperation to us all! Im almost considering buying a 365 GT/4 BB to restore myself. If I do then I'll have to do a similar site like Tom's.

In a twisted sort of way, I was pleased to hear about your recent coil problem Tom. It confirmed the earlier comments that your restoration will never truly be finished; ergo, neither will your restoration diary. Many of us out here count on your posts, as they prove that we really can do this stuff ourselves. Though I probably won't go as far as to sew my own leather, I like reading about it and have been encouraged to do some of the less artful tasks myself.
You are certainly to be congratulated on reaching this milestone. It must be fun to actually drive the car whenever you want and know that your fingerprints are on every part on that car. My hat is off to you. Now, where do I get my ticket to get a ride?

In case you guys didn't notice, I have passed the mantle of -how many things can go wrong on your Ferrari- onto Tom Y. I can't think of someone more deserving can you? Here we get to share in his cars exploits and unlike me he can actually show us what to do about it. Plus we get to read a lot more about the Italian car in his garage. Best, Yale
