My switches are fine I think. I can watch the ammeter move when I push the switch lever. The windows need to be jiggled, smacked, and pulled on to get them started moving. Once they start they work fine. Cables and pulleys are fine. I have to believe I have a motor issue. However this is the same for both sides of the car and also for both up and down. Any thoughts guys? Thanks.
Well, they have been replaced. I have not looked in that direction as the windows move pretty fast and smoothly after they start. I will however investigate that possibility. Thank you.
Typically from what I have seen is that one widow will be faster than the other depending on motor wear. Both being slow made me guess that there may be a binding in the channels.
My right hand window motor was noisy and jerky, but I think it was from infrequent use. With more frequent driving and use, it has become much smoother. Sitting, unused, was likely the problem with mine.
clean every ground between the motor, through the switch to the fuse. Bill Bowdish just did this on his queen and the motor speed was remarkably quicker.
