Is there any justification for owning two GTEs?

What if one is blue and the other red?

Or one from Series 1 and one from Series 2. Seems like a solid enough reason to me!

I can appreciate that excellent rationale!

Ok, the wife.....that could be a series 2 if I'm not careful.

I see that there are oil vapor return hoses leading up to the air cleaner. Is this correct on a Series 1? My car does not have these (Series 2).

Oil vapor hoses look like a way to hide major blow-by.

Rudy,

You need a Series 1 330 and a Queen Mother before you get another GTE. You first need one of each basic type first.

Art,

You may have a good point there. I have been looking at the 365 2+2 cars since my brother has one. I have driven his on occasion and was duly impressed by the power and the ride. One fast freight train, so to speak. With our brotherly rivalry we each like to claim we own the better car.

With the 365, you do not perceive much difference in the time to go from 80-90, then 90-100, then 110-120. It IS just like a train, and all in complete comfort - including AC if it is hot outside.

This GTE has been on Mike Sheehan's page forever at $125K/best offer.

It looks like a really nice car, but it'll never sell on Ebay the way it's listed.

You've got to set a reserve, start the bidding way low, and let the market play it out.

Checkout this just-completed 330 auction...that's the way it was handled, and they got a good price for a nice car.
