250 Series II Cab, what VIN overdrive started?

Post by shill288 »

Does anyone know what VIN Ferrari started using the Laycock overdrive transmission?

Or, more specifically, would 2077 originally have had the overdrive?

Thanks,

Steve

1643 and 1765 coupes have overdrives, so I'm sure that 2077 cab would have had one too.

All the SII cabs had Laycock overdrive on the gearbox, confirmed in the history articles on the model written by both Gerald Roush and Jeff Rowe some years ago. May we have a bit more detail regarding why you're asking?

I may also be worth noticing that the "1st hundred" S.2 cabrios shared Pininfarina Coupe (F-series) gearboxes meanwhile "2nd hundred" shared GT/E (E-series) gearbox.
