Rubber Suspension Bushings

Post by John Vardanian »

Does anyone know of a supplier for anti vibration bushings. I am looking for the Metalastic type cylindrical bushings that go at the end of each rear leaf spring. Thanks.

Hi John:

You might try http://www.avproductsinc.com/bushing/mounts.html. if you know the size you need. I doubt that they have specific application data.

Cheers

Hi John:

Very strange. I just copied it from the URL address and pasted it into the message. But it doesn't work for me either. I do not trust my typing.
But after looking at it, there is a period after "html" which I can't account for. Seems to work without it. Or Google AV Products, Inc.

Cheers And have a nice Holiday.

John:

If, by chance, any of their products are the right size, let me know. I may need some.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

I got the raw material from McMaster Carr and made my own, using the car's own sleeves. They sell both rubber and polyurethane of all shapes and hardness (on Durometer Scale). You need an arbor press and lots of lube. I chose PU of 80. The modern sports cars use 85-95.
