Translucent Paint for Horns
Translucent Paint for Horns
I believe I have found a very close match to the red translucent paint used by the factory on the horns. I bought two cans of Frost Red Tamiya translucent paint in a spray can on line for $11 ($16 with shipping) and thought, what the Hell, I give it a try. This paint is actually for the clear polycarbonate RC car bodies. It came out very close to the original. The only snag is when you are cleaning & preping the horns, any remaining stains or discoloration will show thru the paint and you begin to apply the paint too thick to hide the discoloration, losing the translucency. Still, they came out very nice. I have pics, but no way to host them for you guys to see. Can anyone help with this?
