Thanks,

I had mine recored, all the difference, engine runs cool, w 160F thermostat almost too cool at road speed w AC 170C. You must slightly tilt forward the top if it has ACand alternator by shortening the top two mounts. Looper Radiatior in MD did mine, later Buddy Obara's, it is cheep and in exchange, a most happy and longer lived Colombo 209.

Can a Ferrari radiator be done by a regular radiator shop if I took it out
and brought it to them?
Thanks,

Hi, guys ... I have had two experiences with my 365GT2+2 radiator. About two years ago, my Ferrari mechanic (at the time) had my original radiator re-cored ... done by a local, reputable shop, using a truck core. Just this year, Jens Paulson had to have it re-done, because the resulting radiator was not up to the originals capacity. A truck core does not have as many fins. He could not find anyone who could provide a core that was equal to the original, so he had a custom core built by a racing specialist. Of course, my car is shown in concours, so I wanted the radiator to look absolutely correct ... otherwise, Jens would have had a completely new radiator built of aluminum. It would have been wonderful, but the cans wouldn't have looked quite right.
