Could you make one from a 40DCO aux venturi? On the DCO the outside is a ring, if you turn down the od to match the od of yours and then cut the ring off so the ends are square like yours you get a workable solution although I would recommend replacing all 6 of then so you are sure each carb will act the same. The aux venturi for the DCO appears to be available at Pierce.

Cheers Jim

If worse comes to worst, one can replicate this from other material, like brass.

I found a place in the UK that had parts for my 40 DCL carbs that Pierce didn't have. I'll look up their name when I get home in a week.

Cornelis: I believe you have the correct Chokes for 40 DCL 6 carbs. Street engines with Tipo 128 cams used 27 mm Chokes, while Comp engines with Tipo 130 cams used 32 mm Chokes.

Back from a little trip from Turino (IT)
I went there to pick up a set of 1958 36DCL3 carbs of mine
after we came in the old Weberman was a little in panic work 35 years for Weber
he was searching for his glasses for one hour !
but i could helpt him
i needed also some other small stuff for 36DCS (GTE,Lusso)
with glasses he went directly in his librarycatolog office and came back in 5 min with all the needed parts !
incredible if you could see all this 100 million small chaotic pard shop( not Ferrariparts only of course)
I took a pic of the page of mine 36DCL side
Greg, your parts are on the left side ( venturis n.o.s )
will go out after X-mas will send PM
NICE DAYS

Cornelis,
Thanks for the help! Interesting story with the Weber man able to find a needle in a haystack of all of those little parts but not his glasses. What a wealth of knowledge he has that is irreplaceable.

Hi Cornelis, do you think the Weberman might have the sector gears? I had the hardest time finding them and when I finally did the place had only two left.

Hello John,
Guglielmo- around 75years- my Weber man is old school.
Means he has No fax, No bankaccount, No internet side or SMS possibilities.
So I only can make an appointment in Turino at his place.
I will be there again in april 2015, I left again some work for him.
Must have exact info with dimensions if possible.
he produced valves ,axles etc him self all by hands.
those older people must work till they die ,no social cover after 65th birthday.
as Greg said these knowledge will be lost for ever in the future.

Thanks Cornelis. It's sad, but it's the reality.
