I have been trying to match up some insulators that go with the washers for the bolts to hold the gas tank in place. I cannot find
any that are thick enough and I really don't want to "double them up " to make the right thickness.
The ones currently on the car seem to be part of the metal washer. My concern is that this may just be due to the age and time molding them together.
According to http://www.330gt.com the part # is 823021 and they look rubber or plastic but mine appear more like some sort of a fiber material .
I have also noticed that the baffles in my oil pan are missing; when I purchased the engine it was partially disassembled
and I noticed this was missing. Are there dimensions/specs for the baffles as I can easily have them made.

I am not sure about the 330 model, but the series 1 GTE washers appeared to be heavy leather.

The washers on the fuel tank originally were a red rubber material that disintegrated away on most cars I found. I usually machine washers from sheets of polyurethane or teflon about 1/4 inch thick.
I can take a picture of an oil pan out of a 250 block I'm working on so you have an idea of what the baffles look like so you can fab up a set. Give a couple of days.

You can cut these from neoprene. It is important is that the tank ends up at the same vertical position as originally intended. Assuming there is a rubber sleeve between the tank and the filler neck, the vertical location can be critical.

Greetings... As I have the oil pan off my car (as well as lots of other parts) I shall take some pictures and measures. I'm assuming you mean the aluminum plates bolted to the top of the bottom plate.

Thanks for all the information , I will make up a few insulators for the tank . I have the old hardened ones to copy.
The vertical position should fall into place when the washers and insulators are installed I hope. I will put the filler neck in place
to be sure the alignment is proper.
I would appreciate any help with the baffles , they don't look like they will be hard to replicate . The dimensions
will be appreciated .

My local ACE hardware store has neoprene washers.

I also realized that I can make the washers with a hole saw bit I have with near perfect dimensions to the old ones. We have
a plastic supplier close to me that should have some 1/4 in thick plastic I can buy .

Another cleaner trick is to punch a 6mm hole and sandwich the rubber sheet between a pair of washers (with nut+bolt) and then run a razor blade around the perimeter of the washers.

My washers on the early 250 ellena, look to be fiber type as well - i thought maybe leather.
There are 4 bolts that hold in the tank and the fiber washer is sandwiched between the head of the bolt and the flange on the
fuel tank. Im sure other material can be used as an insulator to keep the tank from slightly moving.
