Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 at Motorcar Gallery

Post by Boxer42 »

Does anyone know the history of the following car listed for sale at Motorcar Gallery in Florida:

330 GT 2+2 SERIES II, S/N 8101 (1965). Metallic silver-blue with black interior. Air & Borrani wire wheels.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think that is the car we looked at back in mid-2001 before purchasing 8325. I recall that at the time it had a dash made out of barnsiding and the original was available for reinstallation along w/ some other parts. There were also parts either non-original or missing, including minor items such as the jack plugs. In other words, the extensive list of resto receipts was not just for resto. I long ago returned the pix that they sent me. I just kept hitting the "add" button on the calculator and decided that the car seemed more than a bit rough for the $49m asking price. LJH

horner, Thanks for the advise on the car. It sounds like it is more of a restoration candidate vs a nice solid driver. Boxer42
