Speaking for myself, I welcome these types of posts from you. Wonder what it will get on ebay, if you will get the 80% of Stebro list. Is this from the red 330GT that came from Gullwing Motors sold to Heritage Classics sold to you? Yale

Tom,

Please PM me with a price, although I like the agressive sound of mine, it is coming up on some TLC and your system may be a good alternative.

Here is what Steve wrote about the dar when he bought it:

I've got #6095, it's a '64 in metallic red (originally gold). I found the

car by chance when I was in Seattle on business in the back of a local

showroom. It needs alot of work, but I'm not in a real hurry. It was

fairly complete with the exception of the collector pipes from the headers

to the exhaust, horn button assembly, jack & tool kit. I'm planning to take

it down to bare metal and rebuild it to drive. This car

spent most of its life in Northern Washington where the climate is very wet.

It has rust but it is manageable. I'm replacing all of the rubber/seals and

doing the rust repairs which entails taking it down to metal. I am able to

do the majority of the work so costs should be fairly ok. I live in Los

Angeles Co. (California) and the climate is dry which should help in keeping

the car from further rusting. Attached is a photo of the car after taking

out most of the glass, trim, lights, ect. I'm ready to pull the drive train

out as soon as things at work calm down and I can get my "Ferrari Friday's"

back on track.

Another one bites the dust so a replica can live. Sigh. Yale

My Dearest Tom,
You're right, you never said it was to be anything one way or another. But lets see, someone buys an undrivable, in need of restoration car and ships it to Italy. Doesn't even attempt to get the brand new exhaust that was with it. These cars in good shape are going for 45 -60,000. You probably sold the car for 30,000 or more, shipping it to Italy costs another 5000. If you were them and you just spent 35,-40,000 for a car in need of restoration (costing up to another 100,000) without a fitted 330GT exhaust WHAT WOULD YOU be doing with it. Restoring it as a 330GT...hmmm?

Furthermore is that the business you are in? How many of those GTE's you bought ended up as restored GTE's?

Now I am not trying to piss you off, or condemn you or anything like that. You'd be the first person I would call if I needed a part and I would hope to hell you would have it, (probably out of some pieced out donor car). Plus I think you are a breath of fresh air in the whole Ferrari hobby.

Anyway, you know I track the four headlights, so if you find out different please let me know. I would be much happier being wrong.
Best,

Yale
