Tom Yang on the barbie
Hi Tom:
I will make it (barring some emergency). What time does the party start, and where is a local place I can stay the night before and after? And are wives going along? If I have to go that far east with the leaves in season, maybe she would like to go along.
Cheers
Warren

Hi Art:
It is too complete and original - just a middle aged coupe in condition way too good to restore. A valve seat came loose - and I bit the bullet to do the entire engine. After all, a 12 cylinder Ferrari has cashet, an 11 cylinder Ferrari does not. And while in the shop the drive train and suspension were looked at. A few loose spokes made me send the wheels out to be restored.
I will drive it. Just not this time.
It is a shame Pittsburgh is so far away from real vintage Ferrari action.
Cheers

Warren,
I meant: 'bring it - running or not' but I was kidding. I guess I'll have to hold the fort for the non-shiny Ferraris.
By the way, who is doing the work on your motor?
Regards,
Art S.
PS. If you're driving on the backroads and having a great time, you're in the middle of the 'real vintage Ferrari action!
PPS. Michael B. seems to have an extra Ferrari on hand...

Would like to make it but not sure about schedule yet. No answere on Warren,s question about wives. Are we walking on egg shells here? Does Michael need to know if one is going to show up , and what about bringing food drink etc, or contributions. Frank still has my seats so if I show it will be with more mundane transport.

I don't know about that, you seemed pretty excited about the Falooja (sp) Ferrari GTE. By the way what ever happened to that one?
Regards,
Art S.
PS. If you want to drool, Francois Sicard's shop isn't too far from the party.
PPS. Francois is still looking for the original block for that Alibama junkyard California (1411 I think), any leads?

Wow - sounds like this party is turning into a full-fledged event. Sorry that I've got my own event to put on that following week and won't be able to attend. I'll be thinking of you and want to add my best wishes to Tom in his adventure down under.

Wives
My Wife is coming along - she knows I need supervision when I get around cars.

Wives?
Do we have an estimate as to how many wives are coming along? At present, my wife expects to indulge in some well deserved R&R at whatever hotel we stay at, rather than "kick the tires" of a bunch of old cars. But in the evening, unless there is a general get-together, I will probably take her out to dinner. If there are others in the same situation, maybe we could combine forces.
Art S. On another subject, I spoke with my mechanic yesterday and it is OK to pass out his name.
He is Cherlie Pearson - his shop in in Schwenksville PA (just west of Philly) He works on all kinds of exotic stuff, but was once Algars 12 Cyl. specialist and is up to date on our cars.
Cheers

goddangit. timing is everything and I am taking the queen down to Norfolk for my 25th hisgh school reunion. Otherwise, I would have volunteered to drive Michael B's 365GTC/4 up to the shindig - I've already had seat time in it so I'm fully qualified!
you all have a good time and I'm extremely sorry that I will miss it!

Is the flooding in the North East going to cause problems with the party?
