Bumper Escutcheons

I was putting on the front bumper for the Blue 330GT 2+2 that’s being restored, and realized I was missing the little bumper escutcheons that cover the bumper support tubes. I believe this car suffered some kind of front end damage years ago, when when the bumper and front end was repaired, these covers were lost. Luckily, I know a couple of guys that collect a ton of 330 parts, and I gave my friend Rob a call. He had a handful I could choose from, and they looked like the longer ones usually found for the rear bumpers, which would be perfect so I could trim them to fit the car.

Sliding them onto the bumper support tubes, I carefully marked where I had to cut and trimmed the excess off in steps until I had the parts fitting perfectly.

There will be a rubber gasket that goes between the escutcheon and the body, but it’s nice to get thing to fit right.

I can now take these off and send them. out for chrome plating!

These covers are found on 250PF Coupes, 250GTEs, and 330GT 2+2s. I can’t remember if they’re also on the 365GT 2+2s, but can someone confirm? I think the pattern is they were installed on Pininfarina built cars, but not on the 330GTC. I’m always open to hearing from you on your data!
