Back Online
If you’re a regular visitor to this website, you probably noticed it has been offline for several days. My server that hosts this website was seeing a lot of traffic that was slowing things down. The traffic was not from people visiting, but rather Bots that scan the internet, scraping data for it’s various uses. Some of it is for marketing and advertising, and some of it is for AI training, but whatever it was, my service provider had to shut down my website until I could find time to stop the Bots! Luckily my friend Rich came to the rescue and helped block some of the traffic so the website could come back online, but this will probably happen again. It’s a cat and mouse game of blocking egregious Bots, and programmers figuring work arounds to keep launching more Bots.
I don’t want to permanently disable my website as I find the data it has amassed useful not only to myself, but anyone who wants Vintage Ferrari information, but I will need to figure a new procedure moving forward. Until then, know that I am fine and content is still being created on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook, and hopefully this site will be back without too many drastic changes. Thanks to everyone’s concern and support!
