It’s been a few months since I talked about Hudson Valley Car Storage on this blog, and it’s time for an update! I’ve been working all winter trying to get this space ready for customers. On top of working on Ferraris, I’ve been the rest of my time next door renovating the building. It’s been a monumental task, and with the help from my friend Andrew, we have done quite a bit of work!

The plan was not to sand the floors to a pristine condition, but to clean, scuff, and seal them so any future leaks wouldn’t soak into the floors. After several weeks of me scuffing these floors with a rotary floor sander, I finally finished the prep and was able to lay down a couple layers of polyurethane. There is about 10,000 square feet of floor space, and it was so exciting to move my 911 into the space to see how it would look with cars parked in HVCS!

I’ve also been renovating a space to create a little club house space, and I bought a pool table! I’m still in the process of filling the space, but it’s a start and I’m excited to have a space for club members to have a space to hang out.

Even though I had my couple of cars in the storage space, I invited some of my friends over to come over for an impromptu indoor “Cars and Coffee” at HVCS so I could try out the driveway grading and its entrance into the building. So far, the lowest car made it into the building without scraping!
