With my recent fender bender and the need to order parts, I am taking the opportunity to replace all the rotted and cracking 50 year old rubber on the car and am "shopping" at Cicognani.com. Not the greatest website in the world as pretty much all the products have non-existent explanations so it's pretty hard to tell where some of the pieces actually go. One of those is this one: RH/LH (Complete Set) RUBBER HIGHER CORNER DOOR (FRONT SIDE) PRODUCT CODE: 16316166 for 84.00€ (picture below). Can anyone confirm this piece is the piece shown on the left picture here from the "FERRARI 330 GTC/GTS As-Built Configuration, Authenticity, and Judging Notes"? So it's only on older cars as newer cars have chrome. If you have the chrome trim and do not need this entire piece, is there then a need to have the top rubber lip that I have circled to help prevent water entry? Cicognani doesn't have the smaller piece so you either buy the larger ones and cut it off or you just don't install anything. Any feedback?
As always, many thanks for the help and kudo's to Tom as we'd never find this information anywhere.

Yes, you have to cut the rubber piece and use what you need if you have the chrome finishing piece.
