As I shop for trunk lid seal material, I am finding that some suppliers offer two types for Series 1 and Series 2 cars, while others only offer one type for either version. What is the recommendation from the forum?
330GT trunk lid seal differences?

Sorry. Lost the headings...
Series 1 seal profile:
Series 2 seal profile:
All else being equal, I think I prefer the Series 2...

the SI seal is for 250GTEs, and I don't believe were installed on the 330s. The SII seal in your pictures would be more correct for your interim car. That seal glues to the deck lid, and there is a thin u-shaped seal (some say plastic, some say rubber) for the pinch weld around the trunk opening on the body side.

Re: 330GT trunk lid seal differences?
Hi Tom, my GTE #3631 is a Series II and to my understanding should have the earlier Version that Stucks on the notch of the body. Looking at it made me understand why the factory changed the design - it is likely that the first version did not seal the trunk well enough. However, I decided to prefer a dry trunk instead of originality for this detail and used the later version.
I am happy to give you the early type seal for free, not sure though if shipment, customs & import taxes give that a sense.

I used the second version, they initially sold it not hollow and it was very hard to close the lid. Then
they came out with another hollow version and it closed better.

How many feet do I need to do the job? One supplier is offering a 16 ft roll...which sounds like far too much...
