Running the new wire was easy. I ran it through the tunnel of course then through the an existing wire grommet. The great thing is the new switch, it is of course in the original position on the console and there is no confusion that when the switch is in the up position the modern pump is running.
Another tip is the availability of the Lucas switch(s) they are indistinguishable from the original, can be commonly found with no Ferrari tax and come in different configurations, so if you want to add an auxiliary switch you can just replace an existing single position switch with one that has an alternate position such as I did to run my modern fuel pump.
Tom-Update on electric fuel pump upgrade?
Re: Tom-Update on electric fuel pump upgrade?
The switch you're describing is a flip type toggle switch? On the earlier cars, we have push/pull fuel pump switches.
